Day 1 Baga Gazatin Chuluu
We’ll pick you up from your hotel or guesthouse at 8:30 am. Following a brief introduction, our Gobi desert tour begins with a scenic drive to the unique rock formations of Baga Gazariin Chuluu. Situated in the Middle Gobi, this 15×10 km area stands out with its dramatic rocky terrain, in contrast to the surrounding sandy desert. Once there, you can explore on foot, enjoy a short hike, and take in the striking scenery—a perfect way to begin discovering the diverse landscapes of the Gobi desert tour.

Day 2 Yol Valley
Yol Valley is a beautiful narrow valley in Gobi Gurvansaikhan National Park in Mongolia. Surrounded by tall cliffs and dramatic rock formations, the valley offers a truly stunning landscape. As you explore, you’ll pass through towering cliffs and narrow passages, and you may even encounter a glacier that lasts until the end of June. Along the way, enjoy a leisurely hike and take the chance to capture the valley’s breathtaking scenery and local wildlife through photography.

Day 3 Khongor sand dunes
Next on our Gobi desert tour, we visit the Khongor Sand Dunes—one of the largest dune formations in Mongolia. They stretch over 180 kilometers. The tallest dunes, in the northwest, reach up to 800 meters. Climbing to the top can be challenging, but the panoramic views of the surrounding desert make it well worth the effort. While here, you’ll also have the chance to ride the endangered two-humped Bactrian camels. It’s a memorable part of the Gobi desert tour experience.

Day 4 Bayanzag
Today, we will be driving to Bayanzag. Also known as the Flaming Cliffs, Bayanzag is famous for its rich history, remarkable dinosaur fossils, and the very first discovery of dinosaur eggs. In fact, this site gained international attention thanks to American explorer Roy Chapman Andrews. He led a series of expeditions here. During one of these journeys, he named the area “Flaming Cliffs.” The red-orange rocks glow brightly, especially at sunset. As we explore, you’ll see the same stunning views that inspired his discovery.

Day 5 Tsagaan Suvarga
As our Gobi desert tour continues, today’s destination is Tsagaan Suvarga, also known as the “White Stupa.” Rising from the desert landscape, these cliffs display a stunning mix of colors—white, yellow, red, and orange. This vibrant display is due to the unique mix of minerals and clay in the rock layers. While here, you can enjoy hiking around the colorful formations and taking in the surreal beauty of this unique stop on the Gobi desert tour.

Day 6 Ulaanbaatar
After breakfast, we’ll begin our journey from Tsagaan Suvarga back to Ulaanbaatar, where we’ll drop you off at your booked hotel or guesthouse.
